timthumbSophie is 29 years old and hails from Rochdale, North England. As a child Sophie was involved in many sports including rugby – she is actually in the Guinness Book of Records as being one of the first ever women to play rugby league at Wembley in 1993. But it was judo that became Sophie’s real passion. Sophie trained under coach Broan Moore at BACUP judo club, and began competing in Judo tournaments at the age of Six. She earned her black belt at age 15, and continued to go from strength to strength. Sophie has won two European titles and represented Great Britain at the 2004 Athens Olympics.
